Never lose the thrill of living.

“When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It's to enjoy each step along the way.” - Wayne Dyer

To many of our lives resemble a line from one of my favorite John Mellencamp songs… “(our) life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone.”

Jesus was accused of being a drunk and a glutton. (Matthew 11:19 and Luke 7:34) His first miracle in John’s telling of the Gospel was turning water into wine at a wedding feast. This suggests that he was someone who knew how to have a good time.

Jesus lived his life in service, and ultimately he poured out his life as an offering. Along the way, he enjoyed the journey eating and drinking, laughing and talking spending time with friends and strangers alike.

I’ve never considered dancing easy, and I’m not particularly good at it. But that’s not the point. The point is to enjoy the steps.

Life is hard. But it also comes with joy. Never lose the thrill of being alive.

I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
