Money is one type of contribution. But there are many other types. Showing up for someone when they need us, taking to time to listen when someone needs an ear, being an encourager, making an outsider feel welcome, these non monetary contributions enrich us and the world around us.
As the old gospel song goes:
If I can help somebody as I travel along
If I can help somebody in a word or a song
If I can help somebody from doing wrong
No, my living shall not be in vain
