Belief alone is not enough. Good intentions alone are not enough. Our beliefs and our intentions must be supported by our consistent sustained effective activities if we want them to matter.
There’s a lot of hypocrites who have preached a lot of good sermons, but they didn’t have the impact they could have because the truth of the message wasn’t reflected in the lives they lived.
“So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.” (James 2:17) The lives we live must bear witness to the truth we proclaim. That’s the only kind of evidence that counts.
Empty words hold no power. We have to let our lives be our witness.
