“I declare that your steadfast love is established forever; your faithfulness is as firm as the heavens.” - Psalm 89:2
How would our lives be different, if we truly believed that God’s love for us is steadfast? If we believed that God’s love for us is unwavering and loyal?
Would we live differently if we believed that there was no place we could go that God is not, that even If we make our beds in hell, behold, God is there" (Psalm 139:8) and if we believed that God’s mercy is everlasting? (Psalm 100:5)
Like Huey Lewis and the News, Advent poses the question to us each year, ‘Do you believe in love?’
Our answer to this question separates the faithful from the unfaithful, the hopeful from the fearful, the loving from the hateful, and the joyful from the tearful.
