Becoming Witnesses of Hope
“See, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.” - Isaiah 55:4
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18) I truly believe and the scriptures suggest that people stay stuck where they are because they can’t see better. They can’t hope better. As a result they don’t do better.
There’s a need for people who have gone to the mountain top and have seen the other side. There’s a need for the Joshua’s and Caleb’s who have scouted the way ahead and bring back positive reports There’s a need for the Rahab’s who embrace a different pathway and bring their families and communities with them.
The world needs witnesses of faith, hope, and love. In the wildernesses of this world, there must be people who are willing to blaze a different pathway. The world needs people who know and believe that the way things are, are not the way they must be.
We must be willing to dream the dreams and have the visions God has for us, and to share those dreams and visions with the world around us. We most share our own stories of liberation and deliverance.
We must become witnesses of Hope.
