60 Seconds of Hope: Don’t Doubt Yourself
“But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a boy,' for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and you shall speak whatever I command you.” - Jeremiah 1:7
If we have any self awareness, it’s easy to be filled with doubt and uncertainty. Jeremiah would go on to be remembered as one of the major prophets of the Bible. He didn’t start that way.
In order to become who he became, he had to remember three things. God was with him. God had sent him. God had given him gifts he needed for the time and place in which he found himself. He simply needed to develop those gifts and have the courage to walk in them.
In order to become who we are capable of becoming, we need to remember these same things. God is with us, everywhere at all times. We are never abandoned or alone. God has sent us. We all are all here with the purpose to be a blessing to someone, somewhere. God has given us the gifts we need for the time and place in which we find ourselves. We need only the courage and commitment to develop them and use them.
Don’t doubt yourself.
