Only people living by faith have the power to change the world.
Only people living in love have the ability to change the world for the better.
Only people living as prisoners of hope have the courage and determination to live by faith in love.
Many before me have called this section of Hebrews a faith hall of fame. Many otherwise ordinary men and women made a difference in their world because of their extraordinary faith.
They embraced a vision for the world that stretched out far beyond their lifetimes. They themselves would never in this fully realized vision, but they welcomed it from afar.
It’s our turn now. Let us join them now in running this race with perseverance, living by faith, in love, sustained by the Hope that holds onto us as we hold on to Hope.
