When We Wonder Where God Is
“Is the LORD among us or not?” — Exodus 17:7
A question born of fear, fatigue, and frustration.
A question asked when hope was running low
and anxiety was running high.
A question asked when they had run out of answers.
And yet—
It was a faithful question.
Honest.
Raw.
Without pretense.
And God’s answer?
“I will be standing there in front of you.”
Some would have us believe
that asking such a question is a failure of faith.
But God is not offended by our wondering.
When we find ourselves asking,
“Where are You in all this?”
go ahead and ask.
Even in our deepest wilderness,
God is already ahead of us.
