Loving God,
we spend so much time
wondering about the future.
Wondering
when things will finally change.
When justice will come.
When peace will last.
When the world will become
what it was meant to be.
But while we wait,
keep calling us back
to the work in front of us.
Back to compassion.
Back to generosity.
Back to caring for one another.
Give us courage
to keep loving
even when the future feels uncertain.
Give us hope
that does not depend
on having every answer.
And teach us to live now
in ways that reflect
