In Hosea’s time, the social covenants had broken down, society was collapsing, and they were on the verge of being conquered and taken into exile by a foreign nation.
Just as dawn follows every night, and the spring rains give new life to the earth, God’s redeeming presence will renew and deliver us.
So we keep showing up.
We keep loving.
We keep trusting that dawn is coming.
