When We’re Waiting for the Right Time
Sometimes it feels like we’ve been doing the right thing for a long time and still have nothing to show for it.
It may have felt that way for Abraham and Sarah. They had the courage to begin a journey of uncertain length to an unknown destination because they believed God had a purpose for them.
Yet they had been at it for a while and, so far, had seen no visible signs of progress. They may have even felt like they were just wandering.
Then they heard these words:
“I will surely return to you in due season.” (Genesis 18:10)
In due season.
Things seldom happen when we want them to. They can only happen when the time is right.
Our challenge is to keep moving forward with hope, in faith, by love until it is.
